• Would Intel Fire Engineers Out of a Cannon?

Would Intel really shoot five engineers out of cannons to recreate the company’s ubiquitous “bong” theme chime?  Or is this another example of creative video editing skills in the service of viral social media? My money is firmly on the latter, but watch this video and judge for yourself. And please, don’t try this at home, or in the company parking lot. The real fun starts at about 1:15 into the video. I’m with you. Note that the chimes don’t move when the people supposedly hit them. Also note that the deceleration they feel wouldn’t be all that different from hittng a brick wall. Also, those ‘cannons’ don’t have enough air piping around them to push someone like that. This was a hoax. It’s a good hoax, which I like, but a hoax nonetheless.
