i want to personally thank the one who wrote and well everyone involved with this article for i have a serious phobia for end of the world. and for 2 years i have been worried for 2012. but this article has made me believe that there is a huge possibility that there wont be one

To add to Eric Gallant’s recommendation of raising awareness and assessing risk, this is also a good time for a data center assessment or audit to identify whether or not your site is designed to the proper protection levels, and to ensure that the maintenance procedures are adequate so that the site maintains uptime in the event of a utility/grid disturbance. Additionally, data center managers should consider uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems – not just backup generators – as part of their assessment strategy.
