Closer Look: Packet Power's 'Smart Cables'

Packet Power LLC [1] offers a “smart power cable” for data centers that captures detailed power consumption data and transmits it wirelessly for analysis and reporting. The company unveiled a new version [2] of its power management software this week at AFCOM’s Data Center World, along with a partnership with PDU Cables. [3] We stopped by Packet Power’s booth, where CEO Steve Van Tassel gave us an overview of the company and its energy monitoring hardware and software. This video runs about 5 minutes, 30 seconds.
