As the cost and capacity of electric power becomes a larger factor in data center operations, companies are exploring every opportunity for improved efficiency. That includes alternate approaches to power distribution. In recent months we've highlighted initiatives by Emerson Network Power and Eaton Corp. in this area. In this video, Robert Faulkner from Server Technology provides an overview of 415 volt power distribution, which is widely used in Europe, and the potential advantages it offers for deployment in North America.
