Outage for MySQL.com Web Sites

The web site for the open source MySQL database has been offline for much of the day due to a power outage in Uppsala, Sweden that has affected the data center where the site is hosted. The main MySQL.com domain is offline, along with associated developer resource sites and forums. MySQL is owned by Sun Microsystems (JAVA), which is in the process of being acquired by Oracle Systems. The Register has more details. The MySQL community is providing updates on mirror sites via their Twitter account.
