[1]In a move to provide an on-ramp to the cloud for independent software vendors, PEER 1 Network Enterprises [2] (TSX:PIX) is partnering with Apprenda [3] to launch CloudXcelerator, which enables ISVs to develop and run their cloud applications on PEER 1′s infrastructure. A key component of the program is the integration of Apprenda’s Cloud Application Server to help ISVs develop new services or port existing software to an online Software as a Service (SaaS) application.
With CloudXcelerator, PEER 1 is offering more than just a platform. The program will include “deeply subsidized hosting,” access to co-marketing programs and exposure on PEER 1′s website and to the company’s 10,000 customers. PEER 1 says its sales team will refer qualified leads to CloudXcelerator participants.
“We are constantly looking for opportunities to leverage our network and infrastructure strength to support and increase market innovation,” said Robert Miggins, senior vice president of business development for PEER 1. “The CloudXcelerator program allows us to help bring to market the latest innovations that will determine the future of the cloud landscape, while at the same time helping partners find the most efficient and cost effective applications to increase their success.”Article printed from Data Center Knowledge: http://www.datacenterknowledge.com
