What Will an FCoE Network Look Like?

We’ve written quite a bit about Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and its potential role in converged networks that unify storage networks and LANs in data centers. What will an FCoE network look like? In this video, Stuart Miniman, Technologist for Data Center Fabrics at EMC, walks through the cabling and hardware involved in deploying FCoE in a VMware environment. This video runs about 6 minutes, 30 seconds.

Be sure to check out Stu’s earlier presentation providing an Overview of FCoE [1] for more on this topic. For additional video, visit our DCK video archive [2] and the Data Center Videos [3]channel on YouTube.
