How Cisco’s EnergyWise Works

Cisco Systems is expanding into energy management with EnergyWise, an extension of the IOS operating system that enables tracking of the energy use of IP-enabled devices on your network. Rob Aldrich, Principal in Cisco’s Energy Efficient Solutions business, spoke with Data Center Knowledge at the recent Green:Net conference, and provided an overview of how EnergyWise works and Cisco’s roadmap for the technology.
