The launch of Sun Microsystems’ new cloud computing service was largely overshadowed by the rumors of deal talks with IBM. So here’s a closer look at the Sun Open Cloud Platform [1], as Sun execs Lew Tucker and Dave Douglas provide an overview and demo during yesterday’s CommunityOne developer event in New York. Tucker demonstrates the Virtual Data Center technology and offers an example of the system architecture behind Sun’s platform hosted at the SuperNAP [2] in Las Vegas. This video runs about 8 minutes.
