Geva Perry has put together a post titled
Why (and What) Every Business Exec Needs to Know About Cloud Computing [1]. It’s a response to a Twitter question from a Harvard Business School professor wondering whether cloud computing should be included in an MBA course. Geva argues that cloud computing “is as much a business phenomenon as it is a technological one. Most industries will be affected by cloud computing as it catches on and is embraced by the mainstream.”
Plenty of non-MBAs may find Geva’s article useful as an executive summary of some of the issues and benefits of cloud computing.
Rich Miller is the founder and editor-in-chief of Data Center Knowledge, and has been reporting on the data center sector since 2000. He has tracked the growing impact of high-density computing on the power and cooling of data centers, and the resulting push for improved energy efficiency in these facilities.
