I've asked officials from both Rackable and Microsoft about whether the ICE Cubes would be used in Chicago, and both companies have consistently declined comment. Microsoft itself has not made a statement, but Dell has, speaking to the New York Times: “Some of Dell’s first containers will go to a new Microsoft data center near Chicago, according to Forrest Norrod, the vice president in charge of Dell’s Data Center Solutions business.”
