Our next installment in Intel’s “great debate” series examines the split between engineers favoring air cooling and liquid cooling. This issue has become more pressing as high-density racks have tested the limits of traditional air cooling, but many data center professionals remain wary of liquids in their facility. Panelists making the case for air cooling include Magnus Herrlin from ANCIS, Vali Sorell of Syska Hennessy Group and Mike Patterson from Intel. The team advocating for liquid cooling is comprised of Peter Rumsey of Rumsey Engineers, Roger Schmidt of IBM and Fred Stack from Emerson Network Power. This video runs approximately 1 hour.
