GIS Leases Space for Dallas Data Center

General Information Services Inc. has restructured its lease at a Dallas office building to add space for a 22,500 square foot data center, according to the real estate news site GlobeStreet. GIS has expanded its lease at Banner Place North at 12770 Coit Rd. in North Dallas to add 22,558 square feet of space on the third floor, which the company will use for a new data center to support its primary data center in Chapin, South Carolina.

Michael J. Haase of Dallas-based Gaedeke Group says GIS is retooling an outdated data center that once housed Argo Data Systems Inc., a which provided technology solutions for the financial services industry but moved to Richardson last year. GIS now occupies the 11th floor, part of the 10th and all of the third in the 12-story building.
