Video: Terremark NAP of the Capital Region

Today's video looks at the construction effort at Terremark's NAP of the Capital Region data center complex in Culpeper, Virginia, which is scheduled to open in June. Norm Laudermilch, the managing director for the Culpeper project, provides a tour of the site in this video from the StarExponent newspaper, which accompanies a news article (link via John Rath) with specs on the facility. The StarExponent story reports that the NAP of the Capital Region will use 55 generators and 440 flywheels. Those numbers are correct, but represent the total long-term buildout of five 50,000 square foot data centers. The first 50,000 square foot data center will be supported by six diesel generators and 11 UPS systems that each contain four flywheels, according to Terremark (TMRK).
