Brocade Communications (BRCD) announced in July that it would acquire Foundry Networks for $3 billion, moving beyond its roots in storage area networking to take on Cisco [1]in the Internet routing market. The deal survived the financial crisis, being repriced at $2.6 billion [2] before closing on Dec. 19 [3]. In this video, Brocade CEO Mike Klayko speaks about the company’s motivations in acquiring Foundry and its expectations for the deal. This video runs about 3 minutes, 25 seconds.
