It's been a big year for Data Center Knowledge, with a major expansion of our news coverage and strong growth in our readership (Feedburner reports that DCK topped 6,000 RSS subscribers this week). Advertiser interest in our audience of data center decision-makers has also increased, which is why we're transitioning to a dedicated advertising operation.
Overseeing this effort is Kevin Normandeau, an experienced online publishing executive who has worked in key positions at AOL and Network World. Kevin really knows Data Center Knowledge and its audience, and I'm excited that he will be helping build DCK into the best possible news and information resource for data center professionals.
As a result of this transition, we will no longer be using the IDG Tech Network to manage our advertising. IDG TechNet was a huge part of our growth at DCK, and I can enthusiastically recommend them as a great ad partner for business technology sites.
