Lengthy Outage for Google’s Jaiku Service
Google acquired the Twitter-like microblogging firm Jaiku in October, 2007, but has yet to integrate the service into its infrastructure. Jaiku had a lengthy outage Sunday due to infrastructure problems at colocation center in Finland where the service is hosted.
“According to our data center provider, the power failure that affected Jaiku this Sunday was caused by the meltdown of a main switch and disrupted the servers of over 8,000 customers,” Jyri Engestr
