is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday (June 23-24), at the San Francisco Airport Marriott in Burlingame, Calif. (adjacent to San Francisco airport). Velocity is the conference for people building at Internet scale, where you’ll exchange ideas with developers, engineers, and product managers from companies of all sizes. Delve into two practical, highly technical tracks that will take your skills and know-how to the next level. Structure 08: A GigaOm Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25 at The Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco, and will have presentations and panels on how to be a “rainmaker with cloud computing.” Om Malik and his staff have attracted an exceptional list of speakers, including key executives from Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Sun, VMWare, Dell, Facebook and many more. As of this morning there were just 25 seats left! DISCOUNT ALERT: Data Center Knowledge readers can get a 10 percent discount on the conference by using the code DCNEWS.
The Silicon Valley Leadership Group is sponsoring Data Center Energy Summit on Thursday, June 26, hosted by Sun Microsystems in Santa Clara, Calif. The event will feature a full day of real world case studies covering sustainable data center design, energy efficient engineering, and operational best practices of green computing. Each case study will document the “before and after” measurements of energy conservation and GHG emissions reduction achieved from the implementation. The event is co-Sponsored by the California Energy Commission and The U.S. Department of Energy.
