Dr. Roger Schmidt, distinguished engineer at IBM, discusses his work chairing ASHRAE's Technical Committee 9.9 on best practices for data center power and cooling management.

Dr. Roger Schmidt, distinguished engineer at IBM, recently shared his thoughts on the data center industry at the Datacenter Dynamics New York conference. "A lot of things will probably sort out in the next year or so," said Schmidt. "I think it's an exciting time to work on data center energy efficiency." He also talks about his work chairing ASHRAE's Technical Committee 9.9 on best practices for data center power and cooling management. This video runs about 6 minutes.
