Today’s video is a profile of the new Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) Tier IV data center in Marcoussis, France, which includes the largest omniswitch implementation in the world. Alcatel-Lucent recently migrated 850 servers into the facility as part of a broader data center consolidation by Alcatel-Lucent, which hopes to consolidate its 25 data centers worldwide into six locations by the end of 2009. The Marcoussis center is the showcase for the company’s consolidation project, which is being managed by HP Services. This video runs about 4 minutes, 30 seconds.
