It's been a busy week for company announcements of customer wins, awards and new services. Here's a quick roundup:

  • Hosted Solutions announced that mobile shopping specialist mShopper has signed on for managed hosting services delivered from the company's Boston data center.
  • Peak 10 said that RPS Technology, a customer in its Raleigh data center, will install a disaster recovery site in Peak 10's Louisville data center.
  • SoftLayer said it has deployed 40-gigabit connectivity to each server rack in its new Seattle data center, using more than 600 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports from Cisco.
  • APC-MGE, the critical power and cooling services business of Schneider Electric, said it has received the 2007 Global Data Center Solutions Company of the Year Award from global growth consulting company Frost & Sullivan.
  • Prolexic, which specializes in protecting web sites and service providers from distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, has been bought by IPVG of the Philippines for $10.5 million.
  • ProQuest, which specializes in library software and owns genealogy web services, will spend $6.5 million to build a new data center on the lower level of its facility in Ann Arbor, Mich.
