ServerVault Hosts Voter Registration App
ServerVault will provide secure Web hosting for the Overseas Vote Foundation (OVF), whose online applications help U.S. servicemen register to vote in Federal elections. ServerVault, a leading provider of secure IT infrastructure for sensitive government and commercial systems, is based in Dulles, Va. ServerVault was tapped by OVF to safeguard applications and data from OVF's revamped voter services web site.
"To ensure the integrity of Web site information, applications and data associated with voter registration and ballot requests, it was essential to choose a provider with a proven track record in delivering secure, robust managed hosting," said Susan Dzieduszycka-Suinat, President and CEO of the Overseas Vote Foundation. "Security is a critical component of our enhanced Web site, and we are pleased ServerVault has agreed to support our efforts."
The launch of the new OVF web site provides plenty of time for Americans who are overseas - including members of the U.S. military services as well as those abroad for business - to participate in the upcoming Presidential primaries, the OVF said.
ServerVault's IT infrastructure management services are engineered to help federal agencies and commercial entities achieve the most stringent security possible and comply with a wide range of IT security regulations, including FISMA, DITSCAP, Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA.
ServerVault has been providing ultra-secure hosting services since 1999. The company's facility in Dulles is protected by a wrought-iron fence, with guards who are "armed and trained in all manner of physical threats," according to the company's web site. Access is controlled through proximity cards to enter the compound, and biometric sensors inside the facility.
