EDS has been awarded a seven-year, $715 million contract to deliver IT infrastructure services for pharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb. EDS will manage Bristol-Myers Squibb's IT environment, including the company's data centers around the world. EDS will also provide help desk support for Bristol-Myers Squibb employees, supporting the company's sales, scientific and SAP systems and employee workstations in certain countries.
The contract initially covers IT services in the Americas and Asia Pacific regions, with later expansion to include Europe, the Middle East and Africa. EDS will provide computer capacity to Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY) from its data center in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
