Qwest Communications (Q) has opened a new "CyberCenter" data center in the Denver area to meet growing demand for its managed hosting services, the company said. The 85,000 square foot facility gives Qwest 15 data centers in 11 U.S. markets. Fox Interactive Media, Inc. will be the anchor tenant and is expected to use more than 20 Gigabits per second (Gbps) of public IP bandwidth. Fox Interactive manages News Corporation's social media and web properties, including MySpace, Photobucket, IGN, FOXSports.com, RottenTomatoes, Spring Widgets and AmericanIdol.com.
