• Skanska Gets $179M Data Center Deal

    Skanska USA Building has been awarded a $179 million contract to build a data center in the northeastern United States for a leading New York-based financial services firm, the company said today. Skanska’s press release (PDF) supplied no details on the customer or location, but said the facility will be “crucial to the customer’s future operations.” Skanska has previously built data centers for the NASDAQ stock exchange, Globix and IBM.

    Skanska USA is headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, and has approximately 3,900 employees. Skanska is one of the world’s leading construction groups with 56,000 employees in Europe, in the US and Latin America. The company is headquartered in Stockholm and listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange (STO:SKAB).
