Virtualization will be a key theme at Next Generation Data Center (NGDC) Conference taking place August 6-9, 2007, at the Moscone Convention Center, San Francisco. The NGDC event will feature an entire conference track dedicated to the advantages and challenges of deploying a virtual infrastructure, plus a keynote by President and CTO Werner Vogelson titled “Virtualizing the Datacenter: The Road to Infinite Capacity.” Data Center Knowledge is a media partner for the event, so you can register using the code N87DCJ and receive a free exhibit hall pass or 20% off the conference package of your choice.

“Server virtualization has matured into a set of technologies that are allowing organizations to vastly improve their server utilization, consolidate resources, cut cost and increase the flexibility of their IT operations,” said Melinda Kendall, VP and General Manager, NGDC. “Attendees will learn how to maximize their virtualization deployment through top-notch conference content.”

In addition to the opening keynote on Tuesday, August 7th , highlights from the Virtualization track at NGDC include panels on “Improving TCO in NextGen Data Centers through Implementing Virtualization and Blade Servers” and a case study from PG&E on Controlling Data Center Power through Virtualization Technologies.
