DataPipe Expands Data Center Network

Managed hosting provider DataPipe has purchased a 36,000 square foot facility in central New Jersey as the first step of a broader expansion of its global data center operations. The company did not specify the location of the new facility.

"We are in the process of upgrading the infrastructure to meet the standards required of a Tier 4 facility," said DataPipe CEO Robb Allen. DataPipe expects to begin installing clients in the new data center in the first quarter of 2007 and expected to announce further data center acquisitions in the near future.

DataPipe is based in Hoboken, NJ, and provides dedicated hosting and custom managed services to companies in the pharmaceutical and financial services industries. In recent years the company has expanded to add offices and data center infrastructure in London and Hong Kong.

DataPipe recently received $12 million in prviate funding to help support its infrastructure expansion. The financing was arranged by DH Capital.
