Dataside To Expand With Fifth Data Center

Dataside will add a fifth data center facility, a 40,000 square foot stand-alone building in Texas.

Dataside (the company formerly known as Collocation Solutions/COMDEPOT) has announced plans to add a fifth data center facility, a 40,000 square foot stand-alone building in the Dallas market. The company's announcement Friday did not reveal the exact location, but said the building was bought DCI Tech Holdings, owner of the Infomart in Dallas, where Dataside is headquartered.

DCI acquired the facility in December and completed its lease with Dataside in late February. "DCI is very happy to see Dataside expand their operations," said Dan Schryer, Managing Partner at DCI Tech Holdings. "They are a company experiencing rapid growth because they understand what it takes to provide service to large enterprise customers. When we bought the building we were looking for a company with the expertise to both manage and market a high-end technical facility to enterprise customers. Dataside really knows what they are doing, and will be very successful."

"We are incredibly pleased to be making this announcement," said Jim deVenny, President & CEO of Dataside. "One of the unique features of this facility is that it is designed to withstand a F5 tornado, and the capacity allows us to deliver robust customized data center solutions on a greater scale to larger enterprise clients. With the rate that we are continuing to grow, we needed additional capacity, and we felt this was an excellent facility."

Dallas-based Dataside provides custom enterprise data center and managed network services. Dataside has three data centers located in Dallas, and one apiece in Austin, and Las Vegas.
