Cox Opens 45,000 SF Phoenix Facility
Cox Communications has opened its first data center, a 45,000 square foot facility in Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Business Journal. The cable and telecom provider opened the Cox Managed Solutions Center in north Phoenix to provide business customers with secure colocation space for their data and infrastructure needs. The center was a retrofit of an existing Cox building.
“We’ve had these kinds of facilities, but always just for our own use,” Josh Nelson, Cox Arizona director of information technology, told the Journal. “We heard from customers who wanted this type of center, and we responded.”
